About Ruth
Hello! I'm Gbemi, your friendly maths tutor who genuinely believes every student can succeed in mathematics. As an economics graduate, I've seen how powerful mathematical skills can be in solving real-world problems. I chose to teach because I want to share my passion for numbers and help you build the confidence I wish I'd had when I was your age. I love that moment when everything 'clicks' for a student – that's what motivates me every day!

- I believe in making maths accessible and enjoyable by connecting it to students' interests and everyday experiences. My approach involves visual aids, interactive activities, and plenty of practice with immediate feedback. - My standard lesson length is 50 minutes, structured as 10 minutes of review/warm-up, 20 minutes of new concept introduction with guided practice, 15 minutes of independent practice, and 5 minutes of recap/homework assignment. For Years 1-2, I offer shorter 35–40-minute sessions to accommodate shorter attention spans. - As an economics graduate, I have extensive experience with mathematical concepts. My academic background required strong foundational maths skills that I'm passionate about sharing with younger students. - My lessons are designed for primary school students in Years 1-6 (ages 5-11) who need support with foundational mathematics. This includes students who are struggling with basic concepts, those who want to get ahead, or children who simply want to build confidence in maths.
