About Jolie
My academic journey in economics began with an interest in understanding how societies allocate resources and manage growth. I completed an M.A in Applied Economics, gaining strong analytical training in economic theory, policy evaluation, and data interpretation. Over 9 years of teaching, I have helped students develop clarity and confidence through structured explanation and real-world relevance.
I believe economics should be taught with balance—combining theory, application, and discussion. I adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, using visuals, examples, and step-by-step reasoning. My teaching environment is supportive, encouraging students to ask questions and explore ideas without hesitation.
Beyond teaching, I stay engaged with economics through policy analysis, research reading, and global economic discussions. This ongoing engagement enriches my lessons and keeps them relevant. Teaching economics is fulfilling because I see students develop critical awareness and confidence in understanding complex systems that shape the world.

Economics becomes clearer when students understand how individual choices shape broader economic outcomes. My lessons focus on building strong foundations in microeconomics and macroeconomics, including supply and demand, elasticity, consumer behaviour, national income, and policy impact. Concepts are explained through real-world examples, visual models, and logical reasoning so students can connect theory with everyday economic activity. As students advance, lessons expand into market structures, fiscal and monetary policy, economic indicators, and analytical interpretation of data. I guide learners through graphs, equations, and written explanations, helping them understand not just outcomes but underlying economic logic. Case studies, guided problem-solving, and discussion-based learning help reinforce comprehension and critical thinking. Each lesson is paced carefully to ensure students feel confident applying concepts independently.
