About Livia
My interest in economics began with a fascination for how societies allocate resources, influence markets, and respond to policy changes. I earned a B.A in Economics and Finance, which provided a foundation in theoretical and applied economic principles. Over 9 years, I have taught learners across a range of levels, helping them build analytical skills, conceptual understanding, and confidence in engaging with economic problems. My teaching emphasises clarity, patience, and contextual application, ensuring learners progress effectively while gaining practical insight.
I integrate real-world examples, data analysis, and scenario-based exercises to make economics tangible and engaging. Lessons encourage active discussion, critical thinking, and independent reasoning, fostering skills that extend beyond the classroom. I guide students in interpreting data, evaluating policies, and constructing well-reasoned arguments to develop both competence and confidence.
Beyond teaching, I engage with current economic research, market trends, and policy developments to provide relevant, real-world insights. Seeing learners develop analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and confidence in economic reasoning is the most rewarding aspect of my work, inspiring my ongoing dedication to education.

Economics lessons with me aim to make abstract concepts tangible and practical for real-life application. I cover microeconomics, macroeconomics, financial systems, market analysis, and policy evaluation, emphasising analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Lessons include discussions, case studies, data interpretation exercises, and interactive examples to help students understand how economic principles operate in everyday contexts. I encourage active engagement, questioning, and reflective thinking to build both understanding and confidence. Lessons are structured to gradually increase complexity while ensuring that foundational principles are thoroughly understood.
For beginners, I focus on introducing fundamental concepts such as supply and demand, consumer behaviour, and market dynamics. Intermediate learners explore topics including international trade, fiscal and monetary policy, statistical models, and econometric analysis. Advanced students tackle complex economic theory, quantitative analysis, and applied research, enhancing analytical rigour and decision-making skills. I provide iterative feedback, guided problem-solving, and practical examples to reinforce learning outcomes.
Economics education with me develops critical thinking, quantitative literacy, and communication skills. Students learn to analyse data, evaluate policies, and articulate insights effectively.
