About Neela
I hold a B.A. in Economics and an M.Sc. in Applied Economics, which gave me a strong foundation in both theoretical frameworks and practical analysis. Over 10 years of teaching, I have worked with learners from diverse academic backgrounds, helping them move from confusion to clarity through patient explanation and structured reasoning. I value depth of understanding over speed, and I encourage students to explore ideas thoughtfully. My teaching style emphasizes clarity, dialogue, and relevance. I break complex models into understandable steps, use real-world examples to ground theory, and adapt explanations to each learner’s pace. Students are encouraged to ask questions freely and develop confidence in forming their own economic viewpoints. Outside teaching, I stay engaged with economic research, policy debates, and data analysis tools. This allows me to bring current perspectives into lessons. Teaching economics is deeply fulfilling because it helps students become informed thinkers who understand how the world functions and how their choices matter within it.

Economics becomes meaningful when students learn to see it as a lens for understanding everyday decisions, global events, and long-term societal change. My lessons focus on building strong intuition around how markets work, why policies succeed or fail, and how individuals and institutions respond to incentives. Rather than treating economics as abstract graphs and formulas, I guide learners to connect theory with real situations such as pricing, employment, inflation, and public spending. Lessons are structured, calm, and discussion-driven, encouraging students to think critically instead of memorizing definitions.
At an introductory level, students develop clarity around supply and demand, opportunity cost, consumer behavior, and basic macroeconomic indicators. Intermediate learners move into elasticity, market structures, fiscal and monetary policy, and applied data interpretation. Advanced students explore economic modeling, policy evaluation, and case-based reasoning, learning how economists form arguments and defend conclusions. Each lesson includes guided reasoning, real examples, and reflective discussion to strengthen understanding.
Through economics, students develop analytical thinking, informed judgment, and confidence in interpreting complex systems. My goal is to help learners feel empowered to question assumptions, evaluate evidence, and understand how economic forces shape personal choices and global outcomes.
