About Andrew
I'm a practising multi-disciplinary artist with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art with Honours. My current practice evolves around conceptualism through a range of media, media and concepts. I branch into Abstract to create thought-provoking artwork that challenges the viewer and opens up a range of ideas and possibilities. I'm currently studying a Master's of Fine Art at Gray's School of Art and Design, where I aim to expand on my practice, allow for new concepts and theories and further my knowledge within the art world. I achieved my BA Hons degree at Cardiff School of Art and Design within Cardiff Metropolitan University after previously studying at Ayrshire College and City of Glasgow College achieving a high pass within year one and two. Once completion of my MFA, I will progress into PGDE in Secondary Education in Art and Design. My Art background comes from HNC: Art and Design/Art Glass and HND: Art and Design where I worked mainly in Painting and Printmaking with Drawing and Contemporary Art Practice. I also undertake Sculpture, Installation and Experimental art with light. I take a large interest in the art theory side, artist research and learning about art movements and the creative process, as well as art history. I also achieved a Higher English.

One to one studying and lesson plans suited to individual needs and with focus on desired area. Lessons would be per hour and happy to cover both theory and practical - practical would be demonstrations with reflection and step by step guides. Study notes supplied and additional homework to keep eye on engagement and to assist with focus area. Beginners: Tutor on National levels with exam practice and guidance. Along with practical examples and techniques to boost in class confidence. Intermediate level: Tutor on Higher, NC, Advanced Higher with exam practice and guidance. Guidance for sketchbook layout, essay structure, developmental drawing and painting. Portfolio preparation and Personal Statements. Advanced level: Tutor on level 7 above also referred to as HNC/HND or year one and two of undergraduate degree. These lessons would be more of advice and guidance as student start to form their own practice and skills. Workshops for extra practice can be arranged.

Perfect! Andrew was so helpful. Gave me lots of notes, some resources and plenty of suggestions to try. He was really good at listening to me and helping me identify next steps to try to conquer my orange peel obsession ! thank you Andrew. Andrew is a professional, driven, enthusiastic individual. I've know him many years and he has done alot of teaching roles from scout leader to support work in schools. He's super friendly and will help spark the passion into anyone needing help with course work. Would highly recommend him for tutoring :)
