About Meagan
I am a student at the university of Johannesburg, currently studying to be a teacher and I am in my second year of study.
I have been tutoring and providing homework support to a few children in and around my neighbourhood since 2018.
I have aided many of my younger students in fluent reading and writing. I also helped them gain confidence whilst engaging in their schoolwork.

When engaging with lesson plans, I assess and evaluate the child's strengths and weaknesses. I also allow the learner to lead the lesson whilst still maintaining control. I encourage open conversation by allowing a learner to discuss their personal aspirations and so forth to develop a sense of trust. In doing this, learners are open to being truthful about problem areas so they may be a focal point. Knowing every learner is different, my lesson plans will change depending on the type of learner and their abilities. I also aim to make my lessons and tutoring sessions inclusive so the learner will feel comfortable and will see themselves as being able to relate to academic content.
