About Lillian
I am a rising junior at The College of New Jersey studying Urban Education and Africa American Studies. I spent two years in a community service program before college, tutoring math literacy and social emotional learning, 1 on 1 and in small groups. I have much experience working with children as I have also tutored in summer camps, and help raise my two siblings.

My teaching method is based in growth mindset (the belief that intelligence is not innate and through hard work anyone can learn anything), anti-racism, and Universal Design for Learning. I am passionate about accessibility and understanding, and believe that children learn best in a safe space. I am willing to help students through an exercise as often as necessary, and take responsibility for my students' learning.
