About Yu
Hello! My name is Talia Yu, and I am a senior Electrical Engineering student at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a 3.99 GPA.
I have a strong passion for mathematics, physics, and engineering, and I enjoy helping students understand concepts that may seem difficult at first. Throughout my academic career, I have completed advanced coursework in Calculus, Physics, Circuit Analysis, Signals and Systems, Electromagnetics, Electronics, and Power Systems. I have also worked on hands-on engineering projects involving embedded systems, RF antennas, analog circuit design, and power system applications.
As a tutor, I am patient, supportive, and focused on helping students build confidence in their abilities. I believe every student can succeed when concepts are explained clearly and step-by-step. My goal is not only to improve grades and test performance but also to help students develop strong problem-solving skills that will benefit them in future courses.
I am fluent in both English and Mandarin, allowing me to support students from diverse backgrounds. Whether you are struggling with homework, preparing for exams, or looking to strengthen your understanding of math and science, I am committed to helping you reach your academic goals.

Hello! My name is Talia, and I am a senior Electrical Engineering student at Cal Poly Pomona with a 3.99 GPA.
I offer tutoring in Math, Physics, Electrical Circuits, and Engineering courses for middle school, high school, and college students. My goal is not only to help students get the correct answer, but also to understand why the solution works and how to approach similar problems independently.
My teaching style is patient, step-by-step, and personalized to each student's learning pace. I break down difficult concepts into simple explanations and practical examples, making challenging subjects easier to understand. As an Electrical Engineering student, I have extensive experience with Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Physics, Circuit Analysis, Electronics, and Engineering Problem Solving. I also have hands-on experience designing circuits, embedded systems, RF antennas, and power system projects, which allows me to connect classroom concepts with real-world engineering applications.
