About Kristin
I am a Penn State grad with a B.S. in human development and 10+ years teaching experience. I have been in classrooms from ages Kindergarten through 12th grade. My favorite age, however, is the middle school years. I have been able to have a range of ages because I am a substitute teacher for all grades and have had my own classroom for 4 years.

In my classroom I use textbooks, group discussions and small group tasks. Tutoring one student or a small group there would be more supplemental readings (assigned online, if needed) and one-on-one instruction.
As a teacher, I always have high expectations and am only strict when necessary. The instruction in my "classroom" is some direct instruction but mostly inquiry-based learning where the learning is focused of fostering independence, hands-on learning and exploration.
