About Ben

I grew up in a small town with two hardworking blue-collar parents — a truck driver and a restaurant worker — who loved me deeply but were carrying unhealed trauma of their own. Like many families shaped by addiction and survival, our home often lived in fight-or-flight mode.

For a long time, I didn’t understand how much that environment shaped my nervous system, my reactions, and my relationships.

My early adult life reflected that confusion. I struggled with addiction, made painful relationship choices, hurt people I loved, and repeated patterns I swore I’d never repeat. I wasn’t “bad” — I was dysregulated, unaware, and running on inherited survival wiring.

Finding sobriety forced me to face myself honestly. Through recovery, therapy, and years of intentional self-work, I began to understand something life-changing: we can’t control our emotions or our initial nervous system reactions — but we can learn to understand them and choose our responses.

I’ve experienced emotionally unsafe environments, manipulation, volatility, and the long process of rebuilding internal safety. I know how heavy shame can feel. I also know how freeing accountability can be.

Today, my life centers around authenticity, healthy relationships, community, and making amends where I can. I value honesty, humor, emotional responsibility, and creating spaces where people feel safe enough to tell the truth.

I’m not a therapist. I’m someone who has lived it, done the work, and continues to do it.

If you’re looking for grounded, non-judgmental conversation with someone who understands trauma patterns, emotional triggers, and the courage it takes to change — you’ll be met with respect, warmth, and direct but compassionate feedback.

My goal is simple:
To help you feel seen, understood, and more in control of your responses — not controlled by them.

You’re not broken. You may just need better tools.

Are you feeling utterly emotionally overwhelmed, no one seems to understand or even notice your spiral, or are you stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break no matter how hard you try?

Did you grow up with distant parents who taught that 'safety' and 'understanding' was needing to be earned and now find yourself struggling with boundaries, self-trust, or self-worth?

You are not broken.
Many of us live and breathe these struggles.
And there is safety in numbers.

I offer supportive, structured conversations focused on building emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and internal stability — especially for adults like myself who are healing from emotionally immature family dynamics that shifted the course of our lives.

I am not a therapist. I am someone who has done the deep personal work and now helps others navigate theirs with clarity, honesty, and zero judgment.

What We Work On

Understanding emotional triggers and patterns

Building self-awareness and emotional vocabulary

Learning boundary-setting without guilt (Living Guiltless)

Breaking people-pleasing cycles

Developing self-trust and internal validation

Responding instead of reacting

Strengthening emotional resilience

My Approach

My sessions are:

Deeply attentive and present

Honest but never critical

Structured yet natural

Reflective and insight-driven

Practical — with tools you can apply immediately

I don’t just listen.
I help you connect patterns, see blind spots, and develop sustainable mental frameworks.

This is collaborative growth — not advice-giving, not lecturing, not fixing. We are partnering in your continued health and growth, standing side by side and not one in front of the other.

Who This Is For

Adults processing emotionally immature parenting

Highly sensitive or self-aware individuals wanting deeper clarity

People who feel “emotionally intelligent” but still stuck

Those wanting thoughtful, grounded conversation rather than surface-level talk

️ Important Note

These sessions are for personal development and emotional growth. They are not therapy, diagnosis, or crisis services. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please seek licensed professional support.

What Makes Me Different

Many people listen.
Few people truly see.

I offer:

Lived experience with emotional neglect and immaturity

Deep reflection skills

Pattern recognition

Direct yet compassionate feedback

A judgment-free space where nothing you say shocks or scares me - I have seen it all!

You won’t be talked down to.
You won’t be dismissed.
You won’t be pathologized.

You will be understood — and challenged to grow.

We're all in the same race; let's race towards safety together instead of away from it.
