About Sarah
With 5 years of experience and over 300 students taught, I specialise in flute lessons for High School, College students, and adults. I understand that every student has a different learning style, so I adapt my teaching to each individual’s goals and pace.
My lessons combine music theory, technique, performance practice, and creative exercises to provide a comprehensive learning experience. I emphasise musical expression and confidence alongside fundamentals like tone, rhythm, and technique.
Many of my students have performed in concerts, recitals, and competitions, which I consider significant milestones. I strive to make learning the flute a fun, rewarding journey, helping students build skill, confidence, and a lasting passion for music.

My flute teaching methodology is student-centred and practical. I focus on clear communication and flexible teaching methods to support every learner.
I explain flute fundamentals such as posture, breath management, finger technique, articulation, tone production, and rhythm in simple language. I encourage open discussion so students can share progress and challenges freely.
I use real-life musical examples and case studies to demonstrate how flute techniques are used in real performances. This helps students apply their learning confidently.
Along with flute lessons, I teach music theory, ear training, rhythm exercises, scale practice, basic improvisation, and performance preparation. I also guide students in developing disciplined practice habits and confidence.
