About Sofya
I am currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Counseling Psychology at Fordham University. I have my M.S.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling from Fordham, and my B.A. in Psychology from George Mason University.
When I'm not working on my dissertation or helping others with their writing, I love to read, take walks, visit my local coffee shop, play with my cat, and spend time with friends!

I have experience working with individuals of all ages, as well as varying stages in their reading and writing skills. I have worked with English language learners, graduate and undergraduate students, adolescents, and children.
My areas of expertise include assisting with writing organization, broadening one's vocabulary, proofreading/editing, and reading comprehension. I can assist with a wide variety of essay writing, such as timed essays (e.g., SAT or ACT exams), research papers, persuasive/argumentative essays, book reports, and others.
I am also available for longer-term tutoring to improve one's general writing skills. I work well with those who may struggle with attention and other related issues.
