About Kenyce
Hi! I'm Kenyce, a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Bridgeport with a 3.5 GPA and a full-time Mechanical Engineer at General Dynamics. I'm passionate about helping students build confidence in STEM and discover that they are capable of succeeding in subjects that may seem intimidating.
In addition to my engineering career, I've worked as a private tutor, a Mathnasium instructor, and a mentor through the Boys & Girls Club and YMCA. These experiences have allowed me to work with students of different ages, learning styles, and academic backgrounds.
I tutor middle and high school students in Algebra I & II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, AP Calculus, Physics, and AP Physics, with Biology and Chemistry also available. Whether a student is looking to improve their grades, prepare for an exam, or challenge themselves with advanced coursework, I'm committed to providing a professional, supportive, and encouraging learning experience.

Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to fit the individual student's goals, strengths, and learning style. My focus is on helping students truly understand the material rather than memorizing formulas or procedures. I encourage students to ask questions, think through problems step by step, and develop the confidence to solve similar problems on their own.
A typical lesson is guided by the students need for that day. It begins with reviewing previous material and identifying any concepts that need extra attention. We then work through guided examples together before transitioning to independent practice, where I provide feedback and introduce strategies for tackling more challenging problems. Each session ends with a review of the key concepts and a plan for continued practice so students leave feeling confident and prepared.
My goal is to make STEM subjects approachable, engaging, and less overwhelming while helping students become independent, confident learners.
