About Noah
Second year PhD student at Imperial College London studying physics and neuroscience
I earned my undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Glasgow and completed my masters research at Columbia University in the City of New York. I graduated with first class honours and earned a place on my universities engineering excellence list.
I love maths and physics, and teaching these concepts to others brings me as much - if not more - joy as learning them myself did. I have experience teaching at both high school maths and physics, and more advanced topics at the undergraduate level where I worked as a teaching assistant. I have also tutored students at GCSE and A level in physics and biology, and hope to confer my own knowledge and enthusiasm for these subjects to those with an interest in learning them.
In all of my tutoring experience I have always ensured my students received the result they wanted.

Tailored lessons with a focus on deep understanding and mastery of the fundamental elements of maths and physics. Designed to give students guaranteed results at any examination level.
I like to instil a sense of curiosity and interest in my students and ensure that they feel comfortable with the material before moving on. This foundation allows students to build upon their knowledge with confidence, creating an understanding and appreciation for their subject which will hopefully lead to a genuine enjoyment and passion for its study, which in turn leads to improved performance.
During lessons I discuss the topics being reviewed, followed by working through some example problems together with the student in order to identify where any faults in their understanding lie. I then use a combination of discussion, annotated notes, and videos to teach the missing information to the student. This is then followed by working together on new sets of problems while gradually reducing the amount of input I offer as the student's confidence grows.
I truly believe that every student can excel in and enjoy STEM subjects, all it takes is a compassionate teacher and a willingness to learn.
