About Maahika
My name is Maahika, and I am planning on tutoring math and science over the summer. I graduated high school this year, and will be attending the University of Toronto for the Engineering Science program in the fall. I am very familiar with high school level content, such as AP Calculus AB, AP Computer Science A, Physics 12, Chemistry 12. In these courses, I received a 97%, 100%, 94%, and 96% respectively. On both the AP Calculus AB exam and the AP Computer Science A exam, I scored a 5. I feel quite comfortable with high school level science and math content, and would love to assist students in these subjects.
I have experience tutoring students from many different age groups and with many different skill sets. One such experience was tutoring Indigenous students attending UBC in mathematics.
I am very flexible with scheduling times for the sessions over the summer. I am more than willing to work around the student's schedule.
My tutoring sessions will be personalized based on the needs of the student. I will teach at a pace that works best for the student. I prioritize understanding, and will start with the more fundamental concepts before moving on to the complex concepts if that is what the student needs.

- While I have experience tutoring students of many different ages, my skills would best be utilized while tutoring students in high school level math and science
- I have numerous resources that may be beneficial for these lessons (an AP Calculus AB workbook, a Physics 12 workbook, and subject notes)
