About Noorie
My twenty year background as a recruitment manager within the learning and development skills sector (Job Centre Plus), and a teaching and mentoring career within various educational sectors, including FE colleges, university and community-based teaching, has enabled me to mentor and inspire students from a wide range of backgrounds, levels and ages.
I have not only found teaching to be enjoyable, but extremely rewarding. I have relished being part of thousands of learner journeys, preparing students for assessments, supporting them writing a CV, and advising of future pathways into sustainable employment.
I am kind, friendly and approachable. I also thrive in challenging situations!

IELTS experienced teacher, assessor, mentor and ESOL lecturer- qualified to teach English, ESOL and Employability to a wide range of ages, backgrounds and academic levels.
With over 20 years experience teaching, and mentoring students, including trainee PGCE students at University, I am committed to supporting children and adults to reach their goals, and monopolize various pathways to success. I was nominated for The University of Boltons Outstanding Literacy Mentor and Assessor’s award in 2021-2022.
With experience tutoring 1-2-1, and in small groups, I relish opportunities to mentor and inspire learners to become independent self-starters, whether this is young adults preparing for G.C.S.E's, or mature adult learners beginning ESOL courses, and delving into literacy and language acquisition.
I am also an avid reader and very creative- I am a published poet, and adept at teaching and analyzing poetry. I believe in empowerment, and plan enjoyable and interactive lessons that are student-centered, giving students the autonomy, and self-motivation to recognize their existing skills, experiences, and academic excellence, and then to build on those achievements, to maximize potential and success.
