About Sona
I've been teaching since 2009. I worked as a teacher at the International School in Turkmenistan for two years, teaching 21 6-year-old students. My students were in elementary school, that's why I've used interracial and spiellerische learning method with them, so that they could learn and have fun in the process. Also, every Saturday I taught English to students aged 9-12, and prepared two 16-year-old students for TOEFL. During my studies in the United States I worked for three years as a language assistant in the language center at the university. I have helped the students with grammar, oral and written expression in German and Spanish languages. I also gave private German lessons and worked with the student for almost a year. He had to complete the college-level German language course before graduating, so he could continue to study German at university. Many of my students have achieved their goals and those who have prepared for TOEFL have gotten good marks and are now studying in the United States.

My teaching method tries to capture all important aspects of language learning. This means that I try to practice with my students a bit of all the important parts of language, such as grammar, reading comprehension, listening comprehension, spelling and oral expression. I try to make the lessons interactive. Besides, my students can tell their preferences what they most want to learn and especially in the language. The students can choose what they want to study and want to know, and so I am planning my lessons. As a native speaker, I also teach Russian. I try to make it fun and explain the hardships of the language well from the beginning.
