• 1) When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  I started playing the piano when I was seven and quickly fell in love with it! I have always been amazed by how much emotion the piano can share. I love everything from the beautiful melodies of Chopin and the clean elegance of Mozart to the heartfelt music of Joe Hisaishi. His pieces still comfort and inspire me every day.

• 2) What makes you passionate about your subject?

  As a music teacher, witnessing my students improve through their playing brings me great joy. This growth is about so much more than just playing faster or with better technique. It is incredibly rewarding to see them build self-discipline, gain confidence, and learn to express the true meaning and interpretation behind the music.

• 3) What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

  I love communicating and interacting with my students. I truly believe that listening to them and building strong relationships is what makes me a great teacher. Sometimes, it is important to just play with them. I still remember a student who loved having me play with her for a short while after her lesson. She would show me her delicious "cooked food" toys or simply give me some stickers.

• 4) Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

  My high school music teacher is my role model. She motivated so many students to get involved in music. She started all kinds of groups at my school, like the choir, wind band, string ensemble, and even an alumni a cappella group! Even though she is no longer with us, her spirit and passion live on through her students, and I am proud to be one of them.

• 5) What are your keys to success?

  As a piano teacher, my keys to success are to love what you do and do what you love! When you teach with genuine passion, students catch that energy and become excited to learn. Beyond passion, success in music requires deep persistence and resilience. It means bringing patience to every lesson, helping students work through difficult technical hurdles, and inspiring them to keep pursuing their musical dreams even when a piece gets challenging.
