About Tara
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies, a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics, and a PhD in Applied English Linguistics. During the past 12 years, I have worked with learners seeking greater confidence and effectiveness in communication. My interest in language developed through literature, communication research, and educational studies. Teaching allows me to combine these interests while helping students achieve meaningful goals. Supporting language development remains one of the most satisfying parts of my career.
My teaching philosophy emphasizes communication, engagement, and practical application. I believe students learn best when they actively use language in meaningful contexts. Lessons are designed to encourage participation, curiosity, and confidence. Every learner receives instruction tailored to their strengths, challenges, and objectives. This personalized approach creates an environment where progress feels achievable and rewarding.
Outside teaching, I enjoy academic writing, language research, and exploring developments in communication studies. These interests help me bring current perspectives and fresh ideas into lessons. Watching students become confident users of English is deeply rewarding. I strive to create learning experiences that are supportive, engaging, and effective. My goal is to help learners build skills that serve them well in every stage of life.

My English lessons focus on helping students use the language naturally in everyday situations while developing strong communication skills. Learners improve speaking ability, listening comprehension, vocabulary range, grammar understanding, and reading confidence through engaging activities that encourage active participation. I use storytelling exercises, practical conversations, visual learning tools, and real-life scenarios to make lessons enjoyable and memorable. Students learn how language functions in authentic situations rather than simply memorizing rules. This approach promotes lasting understanding and confidence.
Each lesson is tailored to the learner’s needs and goals. Students who want conversational fluency practice everyday interactions, discussion skills, and pronunciation improvement. Learners preparing for travel develop useful communication strategies for different situations. Activities include role plays, listening tasks, vocabulary development exercises, and guided discussions that strengthen language use. Regular feedback helps students recognize strengths and address challenges effectively. Consistent practice supports long-term progress and confidence.
