About Sabrina
Outside of tutoring, I am currently in the process of receiving my health science degree as well as my education degree, and taking French courses to improve my proficiency. My main interest in my personal education is to become a Pediatric Neurodevelopmental Researcher, specializing in effective lesson planning for neurodivergent individuals. I believe learning is a lifelong process, and every individual should have access to equitable education.

What skills do you accumulate through 14 years of tutoring experience? After tutoring this long, I find my main specialties to be working with neurodivergent students and generating goal-specific lesson plans individualized through each student's level of understanding, as well as personal interests. What ages and levels are taught? I have experience teaching all ages, from early childhood education which consists mostly of literature recognition and comprehension, through to university-level courses, including essay and thesis writing as well as professional communication methods and assignments. What do tutoring sessions look like after 14 years of experience? The initial session for ongoing tutoring is an intake appointment of sorts. We cover strengths and weaknesses, test current abilities, and gauge goals for further lesson planning. Ongoing sessions start with homework review, followed by any student questions. We then move on to new material and the main lesson. Once this is complete, we review what was learned this session, the assigned homework and upcoming meetings. Students leave each session with extra practice material, deeper course understanding, and increased confidence.

Perfect! We really liked yesterday’s class. The teacher is professional, patient, and has a clear teaching system of her own. Her approach is different from many standard classes that focus on grammar from the start, and it feels much more suitable for my child. As a new immigrant family going through a language transition, we find her teaching especially helpful and reassuring.
