About Kathryn
I have a BA in English Literature and an MA from the University of York. Outside of tutoring, I am a writer who specialises in literary study guides. I am passionate about sharing my enthusiasm for the subject with students.
My teaching style is calm and patient. Each tutorial will be targeted to your individual needs and abilities. I also understand that not all learners have the same objectives. You may be striving for a top grade, or you may want to secure a solid pass for a vocational course or apprenticeship. Whatever, your goals, I would love to work with you to help you achieve them.

I am an experienced English tutor who is passionate about helping students develop their full potential. I have helped Year 10 and Year 11 students of mixed abilities prepare for GCSE English Language and Literature exams. I also have experience of teaching IGCSE English Language and Literature to home-educated students.
As a tutor, my priority is to build confidence. During my tutorials, I aim to make students feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible. After discussing your strengths and the areas you feel less sure about, we will build a learning plan together.
I offer GCSE English Language and Literature (AQA or Pearson Edexcel) and IGCSE English Language and Literature (Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel).
