About Millie
I’m Millie, an English and Humanities tutor who loves helping students feel capable and proud of their progress. I’m someone who hopes to bring a calm sense of direction to every lesson, and I work hard to make sure students feel supported rather than pressured/judged. My approach is grounded in strong communication skills and a genuine interest in how people think and learn.
I’ve built my academic foundation through a Master’s degree in International Marketing, where I specialised in communication and psychology — both of which shape how I teach writing, analysis and critical thinking today.
I tutor students aged 11+, GCSE and A‑Level learners, and adults who want to strengthen their writing or communication skills. Above all, I aim to create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas, and steadily building the confidence they need to succeed.
I am also very flexible in terms of teaching styles, timings etc and understand that every student is different, I am happy to work around your life and make things easy where I can.

My tutoring style is friendly, structured, and focused on building real confidence in English and Humanities. I start by understanding each student, then break topics down into simple, digestible steps. I mix clear explanation with discussion and guided practice so students feel involved rather than lectured at.
My lessons usually run for about an hour, which gives us time to explore a topic properly and end with a clear takeaway. I also offer 45‑minute sessions for younger learners or anyone who prefers shorter, focused lessons.
In terms of experience, I hold a Master’s degree in International Marketing with a strong grounding in communication and psychology, which shapes how I teach writing, analysis, and critical thinking. I’ve also mentored and trained teams in professional settings, so adapting to different learning styles comes naturally to me.
My lessons are ideal for students aged 11+, GCSE and A‑Level learners, and adults who want to improve their writing, communication skills, or general confidence in English.
