As an ESL teacher, it is very important to keep students motivated; this can be done through different methods:
Using mobile phones in the classroom, where students can search the meaning of any difficult word they encounter in class, answer grammar exercises that enhance language acquisition, surf the internet for useful PDF, answer survey questions, or design survey questions. And then analyze the results. In other words, mobile phones instead of being dis-tractors for students, they become a learning tool. Another method is the use of collaborative learning, in which students are divided into groups of three or four to solve a problem, complete projects or learn new concepts. A third approach to ESL learning is task-based approach. In this approach, I design simple tasks for students like making an order in a restaurant, booking a hotel room, or making students watch a movie and write their own reflection on it.
