About Maryam

Hi everyone! My name is Maryam, and I’m an English teacher with eight years of experience, having had the pleasure of teaching hundreds of students. Beyond teaching, I’m passionate about reading, literature, movies, skating, and music. I also love continuous learning! It keeps me engaged, inspired, and always growing, both personally and professionally. I can't wait to help you on your language-learning journey!

About the lesson

I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in English Literature and have been teaching English as a second language and literature for seven years, both online and in-person.
My experience includes working as a Teaching Assistant at Trent University, where I led seminars and engaged students in literary discussions. Additionally, I specialize in preparing students for English proficiency exams such as IELTS and TOEFL, helping them achieve their language goals with tailored instruction.

I cannot recommend Maryam highly enough!
I've had the pleasure of working alongside her as a colleague at our institution, and she is truly one of the most dedicated educators I know. With over 10 years of teaching experience, Maryam has built an outstanding reputation. In fact, she is consistently the teacher every student wants to have a class with!
She is incredibly professional and has a true gift for teaching speaking and writing. She knows exactly how to help students build their confidence and improve their skills. Any student would be lucky to learn from her.

Maryam has been a teacher for almost a decade. We used to be colleagues, and her teaching was special for two main reasons: her friendly manner and expert speaking lessons. If you need someone to help you boost your English in a short time, Maryam's IELTS, CELPIP, and speaking lessons are best for you.
