About Iona
I have just completed my Undergraduate degree in English Language & Literature at the University of Oxford. This year, having obtained the Ogilvie Thomson Scholarship, I will be continuing at Oxford and doing a MSt in English (1900-Present Day). I achieved 4a*s in Maths, Physics, History, and English at A-Level and 8 grade 9s at GCSE as well as an A^ in further maths. I am an experienced tutor who puts my student's needs first, working alongside them to find and identify any areas of weakness. I have tutored students in the past for their GCSEs and A-Levels: all have them have gone on to achieve or exceed their predicted grades. I also work for four tutoring companies, including those that focus specifically on tutoring students to get into Oxbridge, so have experience in university admissions processes. I believe that tutoring should be rewarding, enjoyable, and productive for tutor and tutee alike, and aim to create a learning environment in which students feel comfortable to ask specific questions and bring up any area of particular concern which we can then focus on in the tutoring session.

I have years of experience in tutoring in a range of subjects including Maths, Physics, and English. I tutor typically for between 1-2hrs depending on the tutees need, and will focus on identifying areas of particular weakness in their subject which we then will specifically work upon. I can teach any grade up to and including A-Level, and also have experience in tutoring specifically to help students with their university application process, personal statement editing, and revising for admissions tests.
