About Anya
I am a currently studying for a BA English Language and Linguistics, finishing my third and final year of studies. I passed with distinction in my first year and was placed on the Dean's List of Excellence. I am on track to receive a First Class degree.
Before University, I went to Thurston Community 6th Form and took four A levels, three of which were carried through to A2 level.
I was privately tutored for my IGCSE (international gcse) exams due to extensive travelling, and living in America in the years preceding them.
My knowledge is extensive in English Language and Literature as these have been the two subjects I have been passionate about for many years. I am an avid reader in my spare time, and have read more than 200 hundred novels, most of which are classics. I also write a blog and continually try to further my writing abilities.
I have applied to study for a Doctorate (PhD) in Linguistics, and have been accepted for my place at the University of Essex.
I am enthusiastic, calm under pressure and very good at explaining a subject clearly and succinctly in order to help another person understand.

My teaching methods are based around the individual requirements of the student. Having a rigid and structured order is not always the best method, and therefore, lessons will be centred around the student's needs.
There is a framework that will be adhered to, allowing the student to see their progress, checkpoint by checkpoint. This is to allow each student a sense of achievement with their work, week by week.
