One of our best tutors. Quality profile, experience in their field, verified qualifications and a great response time. Julia will be happy to arrange your first English lesson.

About Julia

I am an experienced and qualified teacher and tutor, additionally holding advanced qualifications in Online Teaching Practice and SEND Teaching Methods, with extensive training in safeguarding and online safeguarding. I hold an Enhanced DBS check on the automatic renewal Update Service. I am a member of The Tutors' Association (TTA), the NASUWT, the National Education Union (NEU), and a registered teacher with the Home School Legal Defence Association (HSLDA). All lessons are recorded, not only for transparency but also so students can revisit them whenever needed. I use Bramble.io for a secure and safe online lessons.

I teach English Language and English Literature across AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, Eduqas and CCEA, as well as Scottish National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher, Republic of Ireland Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate English, and international English curricula.

Lessons are to be paid via bank transfer 24 hours prior to the lesson, and a 48-hour cancellation policy applies.

About the lesson

I tailor my teaching to each student, focusing on their needs, and the exams they are preparing for. I focus on developing a thorough understanding of the syllabus and boosting confidence, rather than relying solely on memorisation. Connecting theory to practical application is key, so lessons are interactive and focus on learning by doing. Students retain up to 90% of what they learn when they actively participate and 'learn by doing,' compared to just 30% when they only hear or see the information.

Perfect! Julia is a wonderful mother-style teacher. She is always concerned for her student. Ahmet is very happy to have someone guiding him in dangerous water of English GCSE. I can see now how important to have someone who has deep experience in techniques, methods and different approaches in English to get a good grade in GCSE. I believe Ahmet will hit his target with Julia's priceless help. Thank you Julia for your warm approach and helping style of teaching.

Julia's response
I have the pleasure of working with Ahmet Kamil, and I must say that he is an excellent, intelligent, knowledgeable, and capable young man. He has shown a significant level of proficiency in the subject, and his skills and knowledge are impressive. However, one thing that stands out to me is that he may not always have the confidence in his abilities that he deserves.
I strongly believe that he has the potential to achieve great things if he believes in himself and his abilities.
Despite this, Ahmet has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and grow. He takes feedback seriously and is always eager to improve.
I do not doubt that Ahmet has the potential to achieve the highest grades possible. With his intelligence, knowledge, and capabilities, combined with his strong work ethic and willingness to learn, I am confident that he will succeed, which upcoming mocks will prove.

Perfect! Julia has been working with our son to prepare him for the GCSE English Literature exam for some time now, and the results have been outstanding. The progress that our son has made under her guidance is truly remarkable. Before Julia began tutoring him, he was predicted to receive a grade 4, but with her help, he is now on track to achieve a grade 8 or 9. We are incredibly grateful for Julia's dedication and hard work, and we highly recommend her to anyone in need of a tutor for English Literature.
