About Domenico
Hello. My name is Domenic Grande. I am a recently retired, fully certified, and experienced English language and ESL teacher (over 20 years) and I would be honored to join you in achieving your highest English language learning goals!
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guelph (located in Guelph, Ontario, Canada), multiple teaching and subject certifications from York University (Toronto, Ontario, Canada), as well as a Bachelor of Education degree from Brock University (Hamilton, Ontario, Canada campus).
I spent approximately 4 years teaching English as a Second Language to South Korean students (from 6 to 17 years of age as well as professional adults) in Busan, South Korea and I enjoyed this experience very much. I fell in love with teaching at that time, so much so that when I returned to Canada, I worked to acquire my teaching degree. Upon graduation, I taught in Canada for another 13 years until my retirement. During my retirement, I have been teaching English online for another 6 years and continue to do so today!
Outside the classroom, I enjoy traveling, reading, exploring and learning about all subjects, meeting new people, and fully engaging and experiencing this wonderful life.
My dear wife and I have lived and worked throughout Canada and we currently live in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
I truly love teaching, as my passion, and I very much look forward to meeting you and joining you on your English language learning journey!

With over 20 years of teaching experience, in a variety of educational settings (public school system, private academies, multiple businesses, online/remote, on-site, etc.), all forms of curriculum (academic, test prep, business, personal, multiple subjects), and a wide range of students and age groups (elementary, middle, high schools; college/university students; adult professionals; beginner, intermediate, advanced levels of English language proficiency), I am eager to help you achieve any English language learning goals you may have.
My lessons are well prepared and very organized. They are student-centered and they incorporate multiple teaching techniques to address your specific learning style(s) and learning comfort(s). A relaxed and positive learning environment, for your optimal learning success, is my focus.
