About Laylaa
I have always had a way with words, and constantly found myself gravitating toward English. I wasn't the best at high school literature since I did not enjoy the syllabus, but after pursuing Literary Studies in university, my passion and skills awakened. I look back at my high school memories and realise what I could have done differently in my English lessons. I now feel confident in my abilities regarding English and Literature, and I know I will be able to guide my students to excel where I did not. I want to change the way literature and English are taught in schools, and rather bring back the adoration for such fine works. I am also very keen on listening to the different perceptions of these works through my students. I am a teacher but I am always learning myself!
