About Imani
Having loved English as a subject from GCSE, my skills and passion have developed throughout the past few years, enough so I decided to study it at University. I have been tutoring locally for the past 2 years and mentored students in secondary school in their English studies, so have experience with teaching younger students and motivating them in their GCSE studies.

Typical session for GCSE English Literature: - ensure deep and high-level understanding of set texts - essay writing practice: thesis statements, building an argument, integrating quotations, demonstrating knowledge effectively, writing under time pressure - Emphasise the importance of building useful revision resources so I will encourage this from the very beginning Typical session for GCSE English Language: - focus on past-paper questions as this is the best way to improve in English Language - make sure have good knowledge of key terminology e.g. alliteration, prolepsis, rising action - I can also help the preparation of the GCSE English Language speech
