About Jess
I currently work as an editor, with an MA in English Literature from The University of Sheffield (Distinction grade). I have taught 15 students (of GCSE level) regularly over the past 5 years on a variety of topics relating to English Literature. Each student has shown a marked improvement in their grades (English Language and English Literature) since being tutored, and have become more engaged and enthusiastic about literature and reading as a result of the lessons. I have experience teaching in both a classroom setting, and as a one-on-one tutor, and have practical experience in editing, for online news, traditional publishing, academic, and charity sectors.

I am a Master's Degree educated graduate (holding a distinction grade) offering classes to students from primary literacy level, up to studying for A-Levels. My lessons centre on identifying and working to solve the issues a student is currently facing within their English curriculum, and offering bitesize solutions that will eventually build to success. I specialise in working through the GCSE and A-Level literature syllabuses, offering tutoring on the literature analysis of both fiction and poetry.
