I have accompanied students on their journey from zero level of reading English to a level where classroom participation is a real prospect. I know that objective is possible because I have made that trip with students.
I have state Department of Education certifications in English, Reading and ESOL, and I have 14 years of teaching experience.

My teaching method begins with the objectives and making sure students understand that goal. If the objectives are sound and reachable, that's the first major step.
After the first lesson, objectives may be adjusted to make them more attainable or changed to a higher level of learning.
My most rewarding tutoring experience was using Wilson Reading to push ESOL students to the third-grade level of reading in order for them to be able to compete in school-wide reading curricular such as Reading Plus.
I am a good tutor because I am relentless. I never give up. I never quit.
