About Imi
I am an English student from the UK who has recently gained an A* in the subject at A-level and am currently continuing to study the subject at university. Having graduated so recently I am fully aware of all of the steps required to succeed in the subject and have tutored people of the same age and younger in both essay writing and creative writing and it has resulted in an improvement to their grade.

My teaching method is completely dependent on the student as English is such a broad and subjective subject meaning every individual will struggle with completely different areas and skills. With essay writing I try to teach a fairly rigid structure which can apply to any essay regardless of the content making it seem far more simple and manageable as it is a fairly daunting concept. With creative writing I start with free writing to minimise writers block and then begin to teach different techniques to improve individual craft.
