About Ayushi

Hello! I am Ayushi Kishan, currently pursuing my B.Sc. B.Ed. (2nd Year). My goal as a teacher is to make concepts clear, relatable, and approachable for every student. Whether you are aiming to strengthen your basics or master complex problems, I am here to guide and support you every step of the way. Let's make learning English an exciting and rewarding journey together!"

About the lesson

As an English teacher, my primary goal is to foster a comprehensive, engaging, and communicative learning environment that empowers students to become confident readers, articulate writers, and effective communicators. My pedagogical approach integrates all core pillars of the language—Reading, Writing, Grammar, Listening, and Speaking—into a cohesive, student-centered curriculum.
1. Reading Comprehension & Literature Appreciation
* Textual Analysis: Guiding students to analyze fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and drama to identify themes, tone, literary devices, and character development.
* Active Reading Strategies: Teaching annotation, skimming, scanning, inferencing, and critical evaluation to decode complex passages.
* Vocabulary Expansion: Contextual vocabulary building, studying roots, prefixes, suffixes, and idioms to enrich reading fluency and comprehension.
2. Structured & Expressive Writing
* Process Writing Approach: Walking students through the complete writing cycle: brainstorming/pre-writing, drafting, peer editing, revising, and publishing.
* Diverse Genres: Training students in narrative, descriptive, expository, argumentative, analytical, and creative writing formats.
* Coherence & Structure: Focus on thesis formulation, paragraph organization (topic sentences, supporting evidence), transitional flow, and stylistic voice.
3. Practical & Contextual Grammar
* Functional Application: Moving beyond rote memorization of rules to teach grammar in context, showing how syntax, punctuation, and mechanics shape clear meaning.
* Sentence Architecture: Mastering sentence variety (simple, compound, complex), active vs. passive voice, subject-verb agreement, and precise word choice.
* Error Analysis: Utilizing student work for constructive error analysis, enabling learners to self-edit and refine their mechanics.
4. Listening & Speaking Skills
* Interactive Discourse: Facilitating class discussions, debates, group presentations, and role-plays to build spoken fluency and public speaking confidence.
* Active Listening: Developing critical listening skills through audio comprehension, peer feedback sessions, and analytical listening exercises.
Teaching Methodology & Assessment
* Differentiated Instruction: Adapting lessons to cater to diverse learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) and varying proficiency levels.
* Blended & Interactive Learning: Incorporating digital tools, multimedia resources, graphic organizers, and real-world texts (articles, speeches, media) to keep lessons dynamic.
* Balanced Evaluation: Combining formative assessments (quizzes, reflective journals, class participation) with summative evaluations (essays, portfolios, projects, unit exams) to track holistic growth.
