About Riga
I have a TEFL qualification and have been tutoring children Gr 1 to 12 for two years with wonderful results. I also completed a Toastmasters public speaking course and therefore are qualified to assist pupils in oral assignments for school. I developed a program for preschool children that is in line with both CAPS and IED.

I keep my classes small to ensure individual attention and I make the lessons interactive and personal. I use current events as part of the lessons to keep them interesting. Where possible we move around when doing oral work and this too is on current events or things that the individual is interested in or have knowledge of. This helps to build "public speaking" confidence when the pupil is confident and knowledgeable about the topic. I do an ongoing assessment to ensure that pupils fully understand the material
