About Kyra
Hi! My name is Kyra, I'm from New Zealand and have moved all over the world. I completed the IB with Higher Level English, Biology, and Psychology, and am now pursuing a Certificate of Higher Education in Biomedical Science before starting my undergraduate degree this September.
Having experienced different education systems, I understand the challenges students face and enjoy helping them build confidence and curiosity in English. I bring maturity, professionalism, and a friendly, approachable style to every lesson.

My lessons are personalised, supportive, and structured around each student’s individual needs and learning style. I begin by identifying strengths, gaps, and goals, then create clear lesson plans to build confidence and steady progress. I use a mix of guided practice, active questioning, examples, and short exercises to keep students engaged and motivated.
For English, I focus on reading comprehension, writing structure, vocabulary development, grammar accuracy, and clear expression. I also help students improve organisation, exam technique, and confidence in speaking and written work.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, allowing enough time for explanation, practice, and feedback without overwhelming the student.
My lessons are ideal for primary and lower secondary students, as well as early GCSE or IB learners who want extra support, confidence-building, or structured academic guidance.
