About Patrick
Hello. My name is Patrick Hines. I am a 7th Grade Social Studies teacher in Pemberton, New Jersey. I have been a teacher for 7 years and a tutor four. I have taught grade levels that range from 7-12. I also have tutoring experience in Social Studies, English/Language Arts, Science, and Math. In my classes, I focus on literacy as part of my lessons to ensure that all students walk away with the ability to communicate better each day.

My approach to teaching can change depending on my students. It is not the material that guides the lesson, it is the student. Offering choice in lessons, employing various learning styles, and creating relevant content all go in to my planning and instruction. When it comes to tutoring, I believe in first identifying the area of need, using techniques that the learner can understand and use, and creating skills that can help the student beyond a classroom.
