About Oscar
From a young age, I discovered a real passion for teaching after earning my black belt in Taekwondo at 15 and beginning to help teach younger students in class. That experience showed me how rewarding it was to guide children, build their confidence, and create a positive learning environment — and I quickly realised that if I could manage an energetic taekwondo class, helping students succeed academically was something I genuinely wanted to pursue. Being born in Scotland as an Asian student, I also understood the importance of working hard to strengthen my own English skills and proving to others that my ethnicity does not mean I don't understand English. This inspired me to study education through an HNC in Primary Teaching, with the goal of becoming a support teacher specialising in helping children with additional support needs, where I can make learning accessible, encouraging, and enjoyable for every student.

I offer personalised English tutoring for both primary and secondary school students, including experience supporting children with additional support needs and learning difficulties. My teaching approach focuses on patience, adapting lessons to each student’s learning style, confidence-building, and interactive techniques that make learning engaging and effective. Lessons are typically 1 hour for £25, delivered online. My experience includes volunteering in primary schools and nurseries, alongside studying education through an HNC qualification, giving me strong practical experience in supporting young learners to progress at their own pace.
