About Lisa
I work in an FE college, where I have the privilege of supporting students who are often resitting exams or building their skills for the future. I genuinely love working in FE – it’s such a rewarding environment, full of diverse learners with different experiences and goals. Helping students grow in confidence, overcome challenges, and achieve something they didn’t think possible is what inspires me every day.
Alongside teaching, I’m completing a degree in Literature and Creative Writing, which fuels my creativity and shapes the way I make lessons engaging and accessible.
At home, I’m married to my wonderful husband, and we share life with two cats and a lively Labrador. When I’m not working or studying, you’ll usually find me outdoors or travelling, exploring new places both near and far.

I currently work in an FE college, helping students who are resitting their English GCSEs or working towards Functional Skills qualifications.
My students consistently achieve above the national average pass rates, thanks to lessons that are tailored, engaging, and focused on building confidence as well as skills.
I’m also studying for a degree in Creative Writing and Literature, which means I bring a fresh and creative approach to teaching English.
With experience in SEN and autism support, I understand that not everyone learns in the same way – so I adapt my lessons to suit each learner.
