As a tutor specializing in mathematics, my approach is rooted in hands-on learning and real-world applications, designed to make mathematical concepts both understandable and relevant. My teaching method involves an interactive style that encourages active engagement and participation. I utilize problem-solving sessions that reflect real-life scenarios, alongside visual aids like graphs and digital tools, to demonstrate the practical applications of math. This approach helps demystify complex topics and shows students how math underpins technology and everyday decision-making.

A typical lesson with me begins with an introduction to the day’s topic, linking it to previous knowledge and illustrating its real-world applications. This is followed by an interactive demonstration using examples or simulations to show the concept in action. Students then engage in guided practice, where they solve problems with my support, applying the newly learned concepts. This progresses to independent practice, allowing students to reinforce their understanding with minimal assistance. Each session concludes with a review and a Q&A period to ensure clarity and solidify the knowledge gained.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my background in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University, which provides a unique perspective on the application of math in cutting-edge fields. My emphasis on practical applications helps make complex topics accessible and interesting, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of math.

My lessons are tailored for students ranging from 6th grade to college level, particularly those undertaking math courses up to calculus. They are ideal for students who are keen to see the practical utility of their studies, whether their goals are to improve grades, prepare for exams, or simply enhance their understanding of mathematics. This comprehensive approach not only boosts academic performance but also prepares students for real-world problem-solving, making their learning experience both meaningful and enjoyable.
