My eight-year journey as a guitar instructor has involved guiding over 300 students through the exciting world of music. My teaching philosophy emphasizes a balanced approach, combining structured lessons with opportunities for creative exploration. I believe in building a strong technical foundation, covering essential skills such as fingerstyle techniques, flatpicking, and music theory. However, I also recognize the importance of fostering a student's individual musical voice.
Whether a student is interested in blues improvisation, classical guitar repertoire, or contemporary pop songs, I tailor my lessons to support their specific interests. I also incorporate ear training exercises to help students develop their musical intuition and ability to learn by ear. My aim is to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment where students can develop both their technical proficiency and their artistic expression on the guitar.
