About Maria
My name is Maria, I'm an English teacher, tour guide and writer from Melbourne. I split my year living in both Australia and Greece, and can speak English (native), Greek (C1) and Spanish (B1).
I have a passion for language, stories and culture that is reflected in my work and lifestyle. After 10 years working as a writer and editor, I’m now focused on working directly with people and helping them feel more confident using English.

I'm an ESL/EAL English teacher from Melbourne offering conversation practice, General English lessons and Melbourne walking/English practice tours. If you are moving to Australia for study or work, traveling or simply want to improve your English - I'm here to help. I also speak Greek (C1) and Spanish (B1). I offer:
- Conversation Classes: Practice conversation skills with error correction and grammar/vocabulary revision. This class is personalized; you can choose the conversation topics (e.g. job interview) or I can choose different topics.
- General English Lessons: Improve your grammar, vocabulary, speaking and listening skills through guided lessons and activities.
- Melbourne CBD Walking & English Practice Tour (in person):
A 2–3 hour guided walking tour with practical English speaking practice in real-life situations, including markets, transport, laneway art, food, and directions. Ideal for Levels A2 and above.
Qualifications:
CELTA - RMIT Up Melbourne (Feb-March 2026)
Bachelor of Communications - RMIT University (2014-2017)
Working with Children Check (Victoria) - expires 2031
I have experience teaching English to adult learners in classrooms and one-to-one. I am open to teaching learners of all ages and levels A2 and above.
Note: Melbourne CBD Walking & English Practice Tour (in person) is suitable for all ages; however, learners aged under 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Tour cost is $80–120 for 2–3 hours. A discounted rate is available for group bookings of two or more people.
