About Arin
My interest in Excel began when I realised how powerful spreadsheets can be for organising information and solving problems quickly. I completed a Bachelor’s in Information Systems, where I developed strong technical and analytical skills related to data management. Over the past 6 years, I have helped students and professionals learn how to use Excel effectively through clear explanations and practical examples. Teaching allows me to share these skills while helping others become more confident with technology.
My teaching approach focuses on hands-on learning and practical understanding. I believe students learn best when they practise concepts while receiving clear guidance. I demonstrate each function step by step and then guide learners as they apply the skill themselves. This method helps them understand not only how to use a tool but also why it works. I also encourage students to experiment with different features so they gain confidence using spreadsheets independently.
I continue exploring new Excel features and data analysis methods so I can provide useful and updated lessons. Seeing students realise how much time and effort they can save by using Excel effectively is always exciting. Many learners begin with very little experience but quickly develop the ability to create organised spreadsheets and analyse information confidently. Helping students build these practical skills is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Learning Excel becomes very practical when students understand how spreadsheets can organise information and solve real problems. In my lessons, I focus on teaching essential tools such as formulas, functions, data formatting, charts, and data analysis techniques. I explain each concept clearly and demonstrate how it works in real situations like tracking budgets, managing projects, or analysing reports. This helps students see how Excel can be useful in everyday academic and professional tasks. My lessons are designed to be interactive, allowing students to practise every concept immediately after learning it.
Lessons are adapted based on the student’s experience level. Beginners start by learning how to navigate spreadsheets, format cells, and use basic formulas such as SUM and AVERAGE. Intermediate learners develop skills in sorting data, creating charts, and using functions that simplify calculations. Advanced students explore tools such as pivot tables, conditional formatting, and data analysis features that help interpret large datasets. Practice exercises are included in every lesson so students gain confidence while working independently.
As students progress, they begin to realise how powerful Excel can be for organising information and improving efficiency. Many learners gain confidence as they learn to create their own spreadsheets and automate repetitive tasks. These skills become valuable not only for academic work but also for professional environments where data management is important. My goal is to help students feel comfortable using Excel tools and to develop practical skills that they can confidently apply in real situations.
