About Alexandria
Hello, my name is Ali.
I graduate from Monash in 2016 from my Bachelor of Nursing. I was then lucky enough to completed my graduate year at Royal Melbourne Hospital, rotating through Infectious Disease and Day Surgery. I spent the following year consolidating my learning by working pool and getting a taste of it all. After a few spontaneous travelling trips and a stint working in COVID ICU, I finally decided to return to my love of perioperative nursing. Last year I undertook my post graduate degree, finishing with a HD average. I was able to rotate through many types of surgeries, learning complex scrub/scout, PACU and anaesthetic skills.
I am currently working part time as a anaesthetic/PACU nurse, filling in the rest of my hours between BANK/Agency.
My goal is to continue higher education (after a well deserved break) and hopefully complete my PhD, allowing me to pursue a career in lecturing and academia.
Fun facts about me: I was born in Canada and I have a pet ferret named Tommy.
