About Matt
I am a conservatoire trained, classical guitar specialist which I teach to a professional level. I also teach electric, bass, acoustic, ukulele and music theory to a grade 8 or equivalent standard.
I am experienced in teaching all ages and I’m familiar with the common exam boards and their procedures. I maintain a 100% pass rate for students entered into exams, however I do not force students to enter, having fun is the most important part of music!
I offer a free introductory session upon request and I encourage you to contact me with any questions.
DBS certified.

Being an active performer, I really value the importance of collaborations with other musicians and instruments. I believe playing with others is often overlooked in guitar teaching, despite it being a vital part of musical education and I try to incorporate this skill into my teaching.
I also use many of my own arrangements and teaching materials, the guitar repertoire can always use more music!
