About Bricen

Feeling overwhelmed by your radiography coursework or nervous about the ARRT registry? You aren't alone, and I’m here to help you get through it. As an ARRT-certified Radiologic Technologist with six years of experience—ranging from fieldwork to hospital surgical suites—I know that the clinical side of our job is often very different from what you see in the classroom.

My path to certification was unique. Because I trained in the Army, where certification isn't a requirement to practice, our coursework focused entirely on clinical proficiency rather than passing a board exam. When I decided to get certified, I realized my training hadn't prepared me for the test format at all. I had to figure out how to teach myself the theory from scratch. In 3 months I turned a failing 55 practice score into a 90 on my registry by developing a study strategy that actually works. I know exactly how much pressure you're under, and I’m here to help you navigate it.

Why Work With Me?
I don’t just lecture; I coach. I break down difficult topics—like physics, positioning, and patient care—into simple, manageable steps that make sense. My approach is designed to clear up the confusion and lower the stress, giving you the structure you need to walk into your exam feeling ready.

Who I Help
My tutoring is for any student who feels like the classroom way of teaching just isn't clicking. Whether you are struggling to keep up with daily assignments or staring down the final board exam, I provide the personalized, straightforward support you need to succeed. Let’s take the stress out of your study sessions and get you across the finish line.

My Method
- I focus on the "why." Using a Socratic approach, I ask targeted questions to identify exactly where your understanding breaks down. We then use visual aids, real-world analogies, and systematic breakdowns to ensure concepts click. I prioritize active application over passive review.

Typical Lesson
> Targeted Review (10 min): Address the specific topics causing you the most trouble.

> Deep Dive (30 min): Simplify complex theory using diagrams and intuitive "mental shortcuts."

> Application (15 min): Analyze practice questions, focusing on why incorrect answers are wrong.

> Roadmap (5 min): Set a clear, actionable goal for your independent study before our next session.
