About Avany
I am a passionate Biology and Biotechnology tutor with Master’s degrees in Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering and several years of experience in private tutoring. I enjoy helping students understand challenging scientific concepts in a simple, structured and engaging way.
My teaching is personalized to each student’s needs, whether you are preparing for an examination, struggling with a particular topic, or simply looking to improve your understanding and confidence. I use clear explanations, practical examples, diagrams, discussions and practice questions to make lessons easier to understand and remember.
I have experience supporting students from different academic levels and backgrounds, and I always aim to create a friendly and comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and expressing their difficulties.
Whether you are studying school-level Biology, Leaving Certificate Biology, undergraduate Biotechnology or related life-science subjects, I am here to support you with patience, encouragement and a genuine passion for teaching.

My teaching approach is personalised, interactive and focused on making Biology and Biotechnology simple, clear and engaging. I first understand each student’s current level, learning style and academic goals, and then adapt my lessons accordingly.
I use clear explanations, real-life examples, diagrams, step-by-step discussions, practice questions and regular revision to help students understand concepts rather than simply memorise them. I also encourage students to ask questions and actively participate throughout the lesson.
Each lesson is typically 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged when required. I am happy to provide structured support for exams, assignments, difficult topics, revision and overall subject improvement.
I hold Master’s degrees in Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering and have several years of experience providing private tuition in science and biotechnology-related subjects. My lessons are suitable for secondary school students, Leaving Certificate students, undergraduate students and anyone interested in learning Biology or Biotechnology.
My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students can build knowledge, confidence and genuine interest in the subject.
