About Rebecca
I am an experienced dissertation supervisor who loves helping people with their academic writing. I have supervised more than 10 LLM students’ dissertations – several of which won awards and scholarships for their work.
I have extensive experience marking student essays in bioethics, medical law, politics, international relations, and animal ethics and welfare. I have also run several essay and dissertation writing workshops at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Suffice it to say, I know what a great dissertation looks like – and how to write it.
I have a Master's degree in the Philosophy, Politics, and Economics of Health and am currently working on my PhD in bioethics, political philosophy, and global health justice, so I understand what an undertaking writing a dissertation can be.

My lessons are tailored to suit your needs (both in terms of content and structure) but are generally broken down into two categories:
1. Dissertation preparation and planning In this session, I will work with you to, for example:
- Analyse your dissertation question and what it requires of you
- Develop the structure of your argument
- Effectively structure and outline your dissertation
- Organise your research, note-taking, and referencing systems
2. Dissertation feedback In this session, I will provide you feedback about your written work regarding:
- Dissertation structure
- Argument coherency and development (note that this does not entail commenting on the accuracy of your content, just on the logic and coherency of your argument)
- Writing style and language
- Referencing and formatting
