About Samuel
I am a motivated and passionate musician with a large range of performance, teaching, and academic experience in Music over 19 years, with 8 years working professionally full time. Self-employed freelance instrument tuition and performance work, specialising in percussion, since 2018.
I have 7 years of experience teaching 30+ students per week at a popular music school in the North West UK. Over 4000 hours of drum kit tuition conducted at this school. Plus multiple years of experience directing and facilitating over 500 hours of student band workshops. I have experience leading percussion ensembles, too.
I also have experience hosting one-to-one and group music workshops for those in full-time care with autism. I'm passionate about bringing the opportunity to play music to people who may not regularly have access, and to use my skills in music to help and support others around me the best way I can.

I've received beginner's lessons from Sam as I was interested in starting drums. He patiently guided me through the basics and got me playing through songs straight away! His approach is practical and fun, and he makes you fall in love with the process. Highly recommend
I would highly recommend Sam for drum lessons, I had never picked up a set of drum sticks before and within 2 hours I had played the basic grooves of 15+ simple songs and had plenty to go home with and practice. I will be back again soon!
Been getting drum lessons with Sam for over a year now. I had been trying to teach myself but just wasn’t progress. He’s really helped us a lot.
