About John
I am an experienced English teacher with 1.5 years of classroom and online teaching experience. I spent a year teaching ESL to high school students in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where I worked closely with Chinese learners developing their academic and conversational English. I have also taught online for six months, supporting students of different ages and levels.
My background in trades, construction, and engineering gives me a practical perspective that many students appreciate, especially those learning English for work or technical fields. I am patient, adaptable, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and improving with confidence.

My lessons focus on practical communication and building real confidence in English. After teaching ESL high school students in Chiang Mai and working with learners online, I’ve learned that every student progresses differently. I adapt my lessons to fit each student’s goals, whether that’s improving conversation skills, preparing for exams, strengthening grammar, or developing professional English.
A typical lesson includes speaking practice, vocabulary building, and targeted grammar work, with plenty of real-life examples. I like to use structured lessons but keep them flexible and interactive so students feel comfortable asking questions.
My background in trades and engineering also allows me to support students who want to improve technical or workplace English. I work with learners of all ages and levels, from beginners to more advanced speakers, and aim to create a relaxed, supportive environment where progress feels natural.
